HOPE CHURCH MOVEMENT
STEWARDSHIP COURSE
The Stewardship Course starts this Saturday, July 11th! This 3-week course is designed to help us understand what the Bible says about being faithful stewards of our money so that we can spend wisely, save diligently, and give generously. No matter where you're at with your money, God can change any situation. Here are the details for the course:
Week 1 (Saturday, July 11th, 2020 – 3pm to 5pm): The Plan and Ditching Debt
During this week we’ll consider the key ingredients of a good financial plan. Winston Churchill said, “He who fails to plan is planning to fail.” As we’ll learn in this lesson, with God’s help and with the wise counsel of godly friends, you can develop a plan that allows for greater freedom, reduced stress and more joy!
Also this week, we’ll learn that eliminating debt can be one of the most liberating decisions we can ever make. Excessive personal debt will often keep us from experiencing true financial freedom. In fact, it can make us feel like a servant to our lenders.
Week 2 (Saturday, July 18th, 2020 – 3pm to 5pm): Save it and Investing
During this week, we’ll learn that saving for emergencies and needs (our own and those of others) is Biblical. We’ll examine the principles in God’s Word that encourage us to sacrifice in the short-term to attain long-term goals.
You’ll also learn the importance of investment principles such as liquidity and diversification, and examine the dangers of greed and chasing after worldly wealth, rather than eternal rewards.
Week 3 (Saturday, July 25th, 2020 – 3pm to 5pm): Generous Living
During this week, we’ll look at the connection between generosity and our relationship with Christ. We’ll discuss how to give, where to give, and how much to give.
Cost is $10, and you can join either in-person or online.
